Vietnamese banks pour over 20 bln USD loans into economy

Over 357.06 trillion Vietnamese dong (20.07 billion US dollars) has been injected into economy at the government's subsidized loan program of 4 percent interest rate to stimulate the country's economy, according to a report of the State Bank of Vietnam on Monday.
Of the amount disbursed by groups of credit institutions in Vietnam, the state-owned commercial banks and the Central People's Credit Fund have disbursed the biggest amount of subsidized loans worth 254.56 trillion Vietnamese dong (14.31 billion US dollars).
Joint-stock commercial banks had made 82.5 trillion Vietnamese dong (4.64 billion US dollars) worth of loans under the program, while branches of foreign banks, wholly-owned foreign banks and joint-venture banks have loaned another 17.25 trillion Vietnamese dong (969.97 million US dollars).
Finance companies have made the remaining 2.74 trillion Vietnamese dong (154.07 million US dollars).
