German stocks close higher

German stocks closed higher on Tuesday on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange.

The benchmark DAX index of 30 big companies increased 63.82 points or 1.27 percent to 5,093.97.

The index of medium-sized firms, MDAX, increased 92.73 points or 1.55 percent to 6,090.39.

TecDAX, the index of technology companies, gained 15.75 points, or 2.41 percent, to 668.16.
