Spanish, Venezuelan FMs open entrepreneurs' forum

Venezuelan Foreign Minister Nicolas Maduro and his visiting Spanish counterpart Miguel Angel Moratinos on Monday inaugurated the Hispanic-Venezuelan Entrepreneurs Forum in Caracas.

"We believe that in times of economic crisis, friendly nations should work together," Moratinos said at the opening of the forum.

The forum would give a "special boost" to bilateral ties and yield concrete results, said Moratinos, who arrived on Sunday for a three-day visit.

The forum provides a platform on which entrepreneurs from both public and private sectors in the two countries can discuss and reach agreements, with the aim to contribute to industrial development in their countries, according to local media.

During his stay in Venezuela, Moratinos will discuss energy, political, social and economic issues with Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez and other senior officials.

This is Moratinos' third official visit to Venezuela, after which he will travel to Brazil.
