Bank of America CEO to resign

Bank of America Corp. Chief Executive Kenneth D. Lewis will step down by the year's end, media outlets have reported.
Lewis was thinking of resignation since he returned to work after Labor Day, a source close to the CEO said.
The bank said its board plans to pick a successor by the time Lewis leaves, but no one has been chosen yet.
